There is a Grafton St in Cork, and the lyrics don't mention Dublin which is what the OP specified

The rising of grafton Street? It's got no words. If that's what you're thinking the titles not referencing Dublin's Grafton St.

hmmmm thinking that they may well have another song too that does...eh...jayzuz Jumbo you've got me thinking.

No it's not the Rising of grafton street. It's a song that mention something like, " Liverpool has it's cathedral, Dublin has it's people, Hamburg has it's..." or something like that.
I can't find it any where...

Went through my old Beautiful South and Housemartins albums, still can't find it...

There's another one though, 'Dublin' by Paddy McAloon in his Prefab Sprout days (Think he still is in prefab sprout days ?)
"Dublin Dublin, home of pretty coleens,
Dublin, Dublin, nurse of such bitter dreams"

Does Old Town by Phil Lynot count?

"The old Covent Garden, I remember only too well"

Opening line of Old Town. I think it's about London. Certainly doesn't mention Dublin.

I walk the streets of Dublin town
    It's eighteen forty-two
It's snowing on this Christmas Eve
Think I'll beg another bob or two
I'll huddle in this doorway here
    'Til someone comes along
If the lamp lighter comes real soon
Maybe I'll go home with him
Maybe I can find a place I can call my home
Maybe I can find a home I can call my own

I dunno if these are the actual official lyrics as it's not entirely clear what he says, but apparently the lyrics at this point ( in the song are:

"The Peanuts in L.A., Bubblin' in Dublin" but could easily be "Bubblin' and Doublin" :D

Doesn't specifically mention Dublin but The Blade's classic Downmarket is all about the city:

Everything’s black and white and grey
Living from day to day to day
I suppose I can’t be choosy, when there’s not too many choices
With the problems of the nation
I’m not waiting at an airport
I’m not waiting at a station
I’m standing at a bustop, Downmarket, Downmarket

Dublin was Bob Geldofs home town / where he grew up + went to school ( Blackrock ) etc. Any surprise he wrote " Banana Republic " when he / the Boom Town Rats (who were big in their day ) were refused permission to play in the Phoenix Park ...so I think that song is sort of about Dublin.

ok - not a hit but some of phil lynotts finest lyric writing - it's rare that lyrics stand up on their own - but this seriously reads like a poem. what a talent.

oh yeah and the name of the song....well what else....Dublin

    Dublin

    After our affair
I swore that I'd leave Dublin
And in the line I left behind
The years, the tears, the memories and you

    In Dublin

At the quays friends come and say farewell
We'd laugh and joke and smoke
    And later on the boat
    I'd think of you

    In Dublin

How can I leave the town that brings me down
    That has no jobs
    Is blessed by God
    And makes me cry

    Dublin

And at sea with flowing hair
    I'd think of Dublin
Of Grafton Street and Derby Square
And those for whom I really care and you

    In Dublin
