Had to put my awesome (Albeit, very very dim) dog down last week after he got hit by a car... Sad times!

On the plus side, my Mother has agreed she'll now get me a new cat. Her friend killed MY cat last year... who I'd called Snatch. See, I called my cat SNATCH. It's comic gold, is what it is.

Name suggestions for the incoming new feline friend?

Sorry to hear about your dog

I'm usless at giving names, I can never think of any so all my cats names are just vague descriptions of what they look. Hence we ended up with a lot of cats called things like grey cat, dirty cat, evil cat and -my personal favourite- big, white, three legged cat.

I'm useless with names (Which is why we have a Jack Russell named Russ :rolleyes:) but it's probably best to wait 'til you have the cat to pick a name. You don't know 'til you see it what name would suit it's personality best. Post a picture up when you get him/her.

I would post some pics of my dog only I'm fairly stupid when it comes to computers. He's totally spoilt though and loving the snow the last few days. He loves burrowing in it and eating chunks of ice and he gets to sleep inside because it's too cold to put him in his shed. He's just completely mad but I love that dog soooo much

Sorry about your dog. I've this horrible (and completely unfounded) feeling that my dog has died and my parents aren't telling me so as not to upset me, but it will be much worse if I arrive home for crimbo and he's not there.

I also wanted a cat named Pete but if I ever got a ginger tom I'd call him Guybrush (as in the mighty pirate?). I also like the names Lindo (means "cute" in Spanish) or Reuben...yeah I only like boy names. Although, my friend had a cat named Diageo once, it's a pretty cool name for a cat of either gender.

Aww, some lovely pets here!

This was Buddy my doggie. Got her when I was about 5/6 and had her for 11/12 years. Sadly she had to be put down a couple of years ago due to a bad tumour. Won't ever have another dog like her. Bit of a story about how I got her too. We were looking for a dog and having not found anything in the DSPCA we sort of gave up, until my Nanny got a knock on the door one day. These two young girls were going around with Buddy asking did anyone own her as the found her bring thrown off balconies and being basically tortured by some guys in the estate and she was in a bad way. My Nanny took her in and we put up posters and ads in the paper asking did anyone own her, but a month passed and nothing. So as per the law after a month you're allowed keep a lost dog so me and my mam kept her ever since! The name Buddy just popped into my head and so that's what she was called. She used to sit up on her back legs and beg for attention :P Anyway here's a pic of her looking fairly old!

Here's my little yorkie Muffin. She's about 16 years old now! And she's still very healthy for her age, only her hearing is almost gone and she spends most her days resting. But she often gets a huge burst of energy and leaps around the house like a mad wan!:p


This is Millie. Unfortunately she had to be put down 2 months ago because of a bad dose of colic I had her for 9 years so she meant the world to me. I grew up with her and she managed to get through some pretty bad leg injuries, but even though I couldn't ride her much anymore, I would never ever sell her. I guess I can just be happy that she had an easy life, eating grass and being lazy.

So when I thought "Hey I'll put a Santy hat on my cat, it'll be adorable!" I wasn't counting on my cat looking quite so traumatised...

I just see a thumbnail. But the thumbnail kinda resembles a blue cat staring at a Santa hat (or a blue cat puking.. but that's not as adorable).
