Bruno, the Labrador-Jack russel cross[don't ask me how that even happened]
I really love that picture of him
Oh my God, your fella looks just like my lab Lucky
(He won't look at the camera, he doesn't like it!)

I think Lucky might be a bit taller though, no Jack Russell in him!
Although speaking of Jack Russells, I have Lucy.

I've posted this picture before, but it's the only decent one I've been able to get of my dog.

    6C929337CEC6461D935C302AACC4A063-500.jpg

This is Jake, we got him way back in 1999 when he was about 18 months, we're not sure. He was found in very bad condition wandering the streets of Wicklow town, our neighbour's son found him, and gave him to her. He kept coming through the fence and she let us keep him. He was absolutely terrified when we got him. Constantly shook, but he's possibly the happiest dog now, he just wants to sit on your lap and sleep all day. He's getting old now though, and can't handle long walks, 20 minutes and he's wrecked.

He is also a pathetic excuse for a dog. He's afraid of everything. He once growled at a cat, who then hissed at him, and he ran away. Last week he got scared by a leaf. Although, that doesn't stop his battles with other animals. He has an ongoing losing war with a hedgehog, frog and birds that come into our garden, but he never gives up. <3

I spotted this in the Irish Examiner recently and thought the other pet owners here would like it :)

    Ten Commandments for Animals
    1. Place your trust in me and I will always trust you back.
    2. Don't be angry with me for long. Don't lock me up as punishment. I'm not capable of understanding why. I only know I've been rejected.
    3. You have your work, entertainment and prayers, I only have you.
    4. Talk to me sometimes. Even if I don't understand your words, I understand your voice and your tone. You only have to look at my tail.
    5. Please be aware that whatever way you treat me, i will never forget it, and if it's cruel, it may affect me forever.
    6. Please don't hit me, I can't hit back. I only bite or scratch, and I really don't ever want to do that.
    7. Before you scold me for being uncooperative, obstinate or lazy, ask yourself if there might be something wrong with me - perhaps I'm not getting the right food, or maybe I've been out un the sun too long. Or maybe my heart is getting old and weak or maybe I'm just dog tired!
    8. Take care of me when I get old. You too will grow old and will also need love, care, comfort and attention.
    9. Go with me on my difficult journeys. Never say "I can't bear to watch" or let it happen in your absence. Everything is easier fir me when you're there.
    10. Remember, irrespective of what you do, I will always love you.

Holly, my Maltese Terrier. She is 8 now and I love her so much. :D

I also have a canary, Pepe, but I don't have a picture of him on my computer, they are on my hard-drive.

Oh oh I never saw this afore!

    Here goes.. I've a few...

    Ok:

    25591_1251374136751_1601448416_30558946_7910490_n.jpg

    That's Roxy and Tuck.
Tuck's the cat - he's 3 years old now and he's as annoying as ever but I loves him! His hobbies include jumping in the house's window, making his way to the kitchen and eating any baking/food that he finds. He also enjoys sitting on window-sills and teasing Roxy 'cos she can't jump as high as he can.

Roxy is my doggy. She's a labraterrier as I call her. Everyone asks how big she's gonna get but that's all she's gonna be! She's a lovely dog but she's sooooooooo hyper, it's unreal. She's a tough dog and doesn't afraid of anything ever. She even likes fireworks - tough little raaawr so she is!

    Here's another of Tuck:

    25591_1251369576637_1601448416_30558925_5857726_n.jpg

This is Harriet and Henrietta (I don't know why they're called that.. my mammy's doing).

    25591_1251374376757_1601448416_30558951_8273912_n.jpg

They're ducks if it wasn't obvious. They're trouble makers too and like to eat clothes.

    25591_1251374616763_1601448416_30558956_117726_n.jpg

^-- That's one of our chickens. We have like 9 and they're all more like pets than chickens! I think that's Ms. Polly but I'm unsure! :P The chickens like to follow me around 'cos I think I'm their god or something like that..

    30311_1261171901689_1601448416_30575709_5879991_n.jpg

^-- That's my baby kitty! :) Her name's Roisin and Bob 'cos my little brother thinks that it's a boy but it's not. She's Tuck's best friend and they go on adventures together and like to annoy Roxy in their spare time!

This is one of the many baby chicks that we have! They're a lot bigger now though, this was like ~4 weeks ago. I loves them 'cos they chirp at me and make happy sounds and stuff!

Yep, those blackish, brownish gingery type cats are tortoiseshells, they're also called Money cats and are suppose to bring good luck.

...Me knowing this in no way makes me a crazy cat lady.

What a great idea for a thread! I love anything that allows me to show off my little baby beagle (ok she'll be a year old next month but she's still my pupsy wupsy- and yes I do talk to her like that)

When she was a very little puppy:

This is my dog Max. He's four years old, and we got him when my aunt's dog Lassie had pups (:

    5214350390_38412c74ea_m.jpg

I love him to bits; he's my little baby! He's unbelievably fluffy, like unbelievably ^_^ He is really lazy as well, and spends most of his day stretched out beside the door. And he makes the cutest little noises when he's happy <3 I miss him so much when I'm in Maynooth, he's always the first thing I ask about when my mammy rings :P

Since I haven't posted here before, my (well, my mother's really) dog Sooty.
I named him after that Sooty puppet by mistake, I realised a few weeks later that the black one was Sweep and Sooty was orange :pac:

    154756_1490929429036_1108000681_31123613_8078459_n.jpg

The wooden thing in the top one I think was part of a kennel or something, but the kennel absolutely terrified him so we got rid of it and just started leaving the shed door open (since there's nothing worth stealing in it).
He sleeps indoors most of the time anyway so doesn't really need one >.>.

^ A cat called Rabbit! Haha I love it (: I really want to get a kitten, but my dad hates them so I'm going to have to wait until I move out properly.

Heh the name caused some confusion at the vets once, but in our defence he did really look like a Rabbit when he was a kitten!

This thread makes me really sad...
Had to put my awesome (Albeit, very very dim) dog down last week after he got hit by a car... Sad times!

On the plus side, my Mother has agreed she'll now get me a new cat. Her friend killed MY cat last year... who I'd called Snatch. See, I called my cat SNATCH. It's comic gold, is what it is.

Name suggestions for the incoming new feline friend?
I'm so excited, I freakin' love cats.

Sorry to hear about your dog :(

I'm usless at giving names, I can never think of any so all my cats names are just vague descriptions of what they look. Hence we ended up with a lot of cats called things like grey cat, dirty cat, evil cat and -my personal favourite- big, white, three legged cat.

Although if you get a black cat I think you should call it Salem Saberhagen.

So sorry to hear about your dog bythewoods. :(

I'm useless with names (Which is why we have a Jack Russell named Russ ) but it's probably best to wait 'til you have the cat to pick a name. You don't know 'til you see it what name would suit it's personality best. Post a picture up when you get him/her. :)

Sooooo many cute pets in this thread. Made me smile tonnes.
I would post some pics of my dog only I'm fairly stupid when it comes to computers. He's totally spoilt though and loving the snow the last few days. He loves burrowing in it and eating chunks of ice and he gets to sleep inside because it's too cold to put him in his shed. He's just completely mad but I love that dog soooo much <3:D

Sorry about your dog. I've this horrible (and completely unfounded) feeling that my dog has died and my parents aren't telling me so as not to upset me, but it will be much worse if I arrive home for crimbo and he's not there. :(

I also wanted a cat named Pete but if I ever got a ginger tom I'd call him Guybrush (as in the mighty pirate?). I also like the names Lindo (means "cute" in Spanish) or Reuben...yeah I only like boy names. Although, my friend had a cat named Diageo once, it's a pretty cool name for a cat of either gender.
