A quick question, there is a cigar shop in the UK that i'm thinking of ordering from but am wondering if there are any additional taxes/customs charges that could be levied on the delivery. According to the shop i should be okay as we are in the EU but they didn't sound too confident about it thus if anyone can offer any assistance it would be much appreciated.

They're wrong. Technically you are liable for Irish duty. But as long as they aren't posted in a package that says "cigars inside" it's quite likely they won't be stopped.
