Can see Arsenal Sligo beating us this week, optimistic if Foran plays for them we could add to our tally vs them for the saeason.

Good job you're playing Sligo at home in the league otherwise you'd need this just in case:

I think being able to see would be enough without having to count to account for a discrepancy...

Derry win, Longford win, Cork/Waterford draw, Shels win = :D

    Likely outcome = :(

Have money on Fingal to beat UCD at 11-8 :D C'mon Fingal!

I hope we can shave it up in Dundalk, don't care if we grind it out, we need a result! 6 points from County Louth is a must this weekend!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,101 ✭✭✭AidySevenfold

Easy 3 points for Finn Harps this weekend, not often I can say that :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,604 ✭✭✭herbieflowers

Massive game against Drogs. Sinnott and Meynell out after daft reds against Bohs so it'll be a patched up defence, but Drogs have problems of their own it would seem...

Could be a crucial weekend. UCD have a couple of tough fixtures (Fingal and Rovers) and I'm hoping Bohs beat Dundalk, drag them into the scrap proper!

Can't make it out to Oriel but can't help but feel we won't get anything out of it :(

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

One thing I like about not being in the same league as them is I don't have to travel to that kip of a stadium and town.

Massive danger of Dundalk getting dragged into the relegation battle. Good enough for them :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,950 ✭✭✭Pinturicchio

I have a good feeling about this evening. Hopefully we'll get a decent crowd after the Liverpool and Bohs wins too. If we win and UCDD don't, we're out of the play-off spots! :D

Another massive game tonight for us. We need the 3 and its time we beat UCD this season. Another massive game on monday with us playing pats.
Getting nervous now. Big weekend of Football :o

Intersting evening sitting in watching how the teams above us are doing.

Hopefully wins for New Derry over the Blades and Cork FORAS over Waterford. Hard to see anything but a win for Monaghan.

Very generous odds on Sporting NAMA tonight imo. ;)

While this is probably the best thing for Shels tonight if ye get a result, I bet you felt a bit dirty typing that. :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,483 ✭✭✭Töpher

I actually think a draw in the Cork/Waterford match would be the best result, not comfortable having Cork 2 points behind us. If we consider ourselves still in the hunt for a playoff spot, they're close enough too. A draw there tonight and a win for us on Sunday would see us pull level with Waterford, 4pts ahead of Cork, and if Limerick lose to Derry, only 1 point behind them.

Would be much better reading! :)

    ---
Small bet on an ideal round of results @ ~ 38/1

    Derry
    Cork/Waterford draw
    Longford or draw
    Shelbourne

Could make it a better weekend.

    (Or a worse one).

    2-0 to Rovers atm.
Houston OG and a nice pass from Twigg to set up an easy finish for Rice.

    EDIT: 3-0. Twigg.:D

Fcukin get in!!! Galway 2 - 1 Drogheda, O'Donnell with another penalty

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,964 ✭✭✭✭Zebra3

Great wins for New Derry and Waterford.

Monaghan pick three points as well.

Fingers crossed for a Reds win on Sunday. A win will leave us two points off the play-offs.

Looks like another season of First Div football for Cork FORAS.

Cracking game vs Sligo, they a very good side they shaded the 1st half 2nd half was ours.

Our possible player of the year Mac allister hit the post with an stunning drive :(

Sligos keeper was timewasting much to the disgust of Peers and lachlan, funny that.

    Brilliant stuff for Galway!

I heard there was a few people going down for a peek after the Liverpool game so I think it did it's job and now that the lads have put 2 wins together, there's an air of positivity about them. I train on monday and friday nights and never get a chance to go in...

Don't believe it. Awful crowd, max 800 I'd say. Good win but not a good enough crowd sadly.

Ah that's sickening. If the results aren't drawing the crowd, how can ya get them in?

It is amazing when you think about it. Over 5000 turn up for Liverpool reserves. We beat them. We beat Bohs away with 9 men. We turn up tonight with a chance of getting out of the playoff positions and that crowd turns up. I literally don't know what else can be done to draw the crowds. I'd love to ask people why, no interest? Never heard of us? etc etc.

The one with a much richer history than yours?

The one with nearly twice as many league titles as yours?

The one with more IFA Cups than you have FAI Cups?

FAI Cups? Oh, let's not go there. ;)

The one with a great heritage in European football?

The one with a rake of players capped at full international level by both the IFA and the FAI?

Yep :D Nervous towards the end, they kept pumping balls at us. And you know what its like, any team that goes forward against us looks like they are gonna score.

I don't think that was Quigley that was playing, no way, completely different player. Putting in tackles all over the place (and not breaking peoples legs :pac:) and he scored a goal!!!

Just seen there that Sligo Rovers have turned down an offer for Amond from Portuguese Liga side Pacos Ferreira, would have been good for him to play against the likes of Porto and Benfica but playing against the lieks Bohs and St. Pats obviously is the more attractive football:P

They offered 20k, must have been having a laugh. There are players in the 1st Division worth more than 20k.

Lol what a joke of an offer, id say they would want nearly half a million for him considering his age

They won't get anything close to half a million for him. Apparently there is a minimum fee release clause of €20k for UK and Irish clubs. When is his contract up?

Nearly 100% sure his contract isn't up till after next season.

If Cork got €500k for O'Donovan and €260k for Mooney I want at least €250k from this Portuguese side or they can f**k off.

Well yeah, he could get to play in this fixture. But obviously, last night he got to play in the real Stadium of Light! :P
