I am getting full amount for past month, but first 3 days of claim werent paid, I asked when signing on today and girl said that they never are paid...This seems unusual to me, just thought I'd check it out here...Is this true??

    Yes

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Yep, don't get anything for the first few days after initiating the claim is normal.

It's true and applies in the cases of Jobseekers Benefit and Allowance.

    What's the reasoning behind it?

Yeah, they're called waiting days and apply to all first time new claims. Repeat claims don't have them. Don't know why they still exist today, I think it is to stop people making 2 or more claims in different Offices.

Not sure how not paying anything for three days stops someone making a duplicate claim in a different office.
