Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Shared printer

I have a nice Epson Stylus Photo R300 printer. I have it directly connected to a Windows 7 (64 bit) PC.

I have the device shared. I've no problem connecting other Windows 7 machines to it, but when I try and connect a machine with another version of Windows (XP 32bit), it says it can't find the driver. I originally had that printer connected locally to that machine, so it should already have the drivers installed. But yet, when I connect to the shared printer, it asks for drivers. When I select the local install directory (with the install files and drivers), it won't accept those drivers.

    Any ideas?

Can you access shared files or anything on the W7 machine from the xp box? Probably not an access issue if it's asking for drivers but worth checking anyway.

Id say you should try installing the x86 XP driver on the W7 machine so the xp machine pulls it from the 7 machine during installation.

    Good tutorial here.

    File sharing works fine.

I'll go try that tutorial now.

You need to install an XP driver for it to be available to XP machines.

Look in "File -> Server Properties" in the printers config bit thingamy bob.
