One thing i find annoying about the game is when your shooting and there is a delay for when you can fire your next shot. For example if i aim down the sights with a 9mm Pistol and I constantly tap the shoot button (RT, playing on Xbox) it will fire at the guns fastest rate of fire. But if i fire a single shot and dont quickly tap it wont let me fire until about a half a second. When its obvious i should be able to fire since i know the gun fires that fast from spamming the RT button. Its like if you miss the threshold for when the gun should be fired you have to wait before you can fire your next shot...

Its like they are giving you a choice of firing as fast as the gun can with less accuracy or slower and picking your shots...

Great game otherwise, really starting to get into it now...

In Fallout 3 I built up my Medicine skill quite high to get as much health as possible out of stimpacks.

Think I'm going to leave it alone this time though as eventually it made the game too easy.

If you are going to play it on Hardcore more you will want to keep it high, been using a good few stimpacks playing it on Hardcore. (Hardcore makes Stimmies 'Heal over Time' rather than Instant health).

Anyway my impressions so far are that It is an improvement over Fallout 3, the variety of weapons is better and hardcore mode makes the game alot more interesting as well. I haven't had any crashes at all in the few hours iv played so I might be one of the lucky few who hasn't had the problem

In Vault 34 right now, god this place is tough on hard, all I have is a laser pistol, incinerator and cowboy repeater. And a companion.

If it weren't for the companion I'd be dead right now, and I'm kinda lost in this vault, have to find a key somewhere.

Just found a very nice stash of weapons thats very easy to get to from goodsprings,
up at the cross memorial to the east, got plasma weapons , bring a shovel though as you have to dig up the graves, there is also a rock with a peace sign on it
those pesky rad scorpions will now fear me 2 shot killed them and im only level 3 :D

steal it or buy it in the shop in goodprings, found some sweet sweet loot from grave robbing including a knife called chances knife which almost guarantees a critical hit.

Anyone know the spawn codes for the Vault 34 Security Officers? I need to spawn a few back (killed some in TGM, just for fun, want to put them back now).

EDIT: Anyone know any other graves as well?

Performance kinda sucks here too. 8 core xeon with a radeon 4870 and the damn thing drops a frame or two each time it has to load more data.

Only complaint about technical performance on the ps3 so far is that if i look around too quickly the screen tears horrifically.

It does this on the PC version too.

Had a weird encounter while playing a while ago.
upon leaving a building in Freeside I was attacked by three old ladies, each brandishing a rolling pin and all of them wearing pink dresses.

    It was funny though.

I think it might be related to one of the traits i picked at the start of the game.

Had a weird problem there, i entered the Tops casino on a side quest for the first part of a side quest and as i progressed into the casino it popped up that i had completed the main quest- ''They went that way'', the next part for me was
to intercept the great khans at boulder city

It not a conflicting or timed quest and i even tired reloading thinking it was a once off but it happened the second time. I just walked out after handing over my guns the third time and it didn't active as completed so it must be a bug.

I'd love a quick level up but would rather do the main quest i think :)

This is great. A few of my friends have the game and we've all put in similar hours yet we've all been doing completely different quests and playing different ways.

Never know what perk to pick. Any recommendations on the best ones?

I'd definitely recommend the one that gives you and extra skill point when you use a skill book. It also doubles the boost you get from using the magazines. I think it's called Comprehension.

The one that gives you 2 extra points for your barter, guns etc skills when you level up is worth taking as well. This oe is called Educated i think.

In Fallout 3 these perks really helped level up my character skills a lot. I managed to max out a few of them.

Think I just picked Intense Training over Comprehension. I know it's not really recommended though but I want a higher Agility.

    I'll definitely get Educated.
