they killed me and veronica (who had powerarmour on)

really have to start putting the hours in on this, still only a mere level 11

I've a pain in me ring with these lads. Took out 3 deathclaws no problem with Veronica (and and anti-material rifle!! :D), but these lads I would run a mile. That said, I haven't actually come across cazadores since I got the anti-material so I might go up to that place to the north of
    Goodsprings
for a bit of a hunt!

It's strange 'cause when I went to the Kings School of Impersonation, the NPC Kings there told me how my girl was nice but not his type. Perhaps Veronica is invisible?

Problem with a mission in camp mccarron
I've to deactivate a bomb on the monorail, but I can't get onto the monorail at all. It leaves very very quickly, and even if I get to the steps to get on, there appears to be some form of glitch where i fall out the back of the carriage.

    Anybody else experiencing this?
The first time I did that mission I listened in, then killed him, got the code and went to the camp commander to report in. When I went to the mono-rail, it left before I could get to it. So I reloaded and listened in on the spy, killed him, got the code and went straight to the monorail and had time to deactivate the bomb.
    Not sure if that'll help.
It's obvious this game is liked, so I have a question:

What don't you like about this game and does that make it worse than Fallout3?
I think Hardcore mode isn't hardcore enough. It just makes things like food, water and healing a bit of a minor nuisance. I'd prefer if it was harder to get those things, so it'd mean something and make you plan out your excusions.

The other problem is that I'd prefer the dialogue trees to acknowledge things that have happened more. Even if it's just a single line. It's strange that major events aren't commented on as rumours spread.

And I wish disguises actually did something. I mentioned before that the only thing they seem to do for me is make myallies think I'm a member of the enemy faction and they attack me, while the faction I'm disguised as recognise me immediately and attack me. Seems more hassle than it's worth.

Not sure if there's anything about it that was done better in Fallout 3, to be honest.

There are different mods that do things like cause crippled legs to make you walk at a snails pace and make stimpaks weigh 999 (so you cant carry any, have to use on the spot), maybe you need stuff like these?

    She's a lesbian though, isn't she?

It feels a lot smaller to me, physically I mean. You seem more constrained or stuck to a path than in FO3. I know the whole SW part is blocked but even in other places it feels like you're being pushed. It's not even done well, there are loads of invisible collision walls instead of natural rocks or buildings to block you which is very unprofessional imo.

    Hopefully someone can help me:
I'm trying to get in contact with the BoS and I'm in hidden valley, but when I go into their bunker, the door in there leads to a collapsed corridor. Where exactly are they?

    it's the one
with the tree on top of it

there are four of them, so you need to look around more if you only found two

Push the Tilde key and then type in.
    prid <ref_id>

    moveto player

The Ref id's for companions are listed on their respective pages.

You can use player.moveto <ref_id> (instead of both commands stated above) too - if you want to know where you lost your companion. Be sure to make a new save before using any Console Commands.

This bug might be related to times when a companion wants to converse with you about his/her quest. In that case, after retrieving him you will need to initiate such a conversation yourself to make the person start following you again. If he/she still stands there and doesn't run after you after the conversation, you can try firing the person from the team and rehiring soon after. This should make them follow you again.

Sometimes a companion will disappear and not seem to be retrievable by fast travel or the moveto command.

    In that case, attempt this:

    prid <ref_id>

    OpenTeammateContainer 1

Move all items from the targeted companion over to yourself to avoid losing them.

    moveto player

    resurrect 1

    disable

    enable

See Console Commands for more information on how to use the console.]spolier

Don't forget to exit and re-enter the game if you care about the STEAM achievements.

I'm pretty sure that Veronica is invisible; I was in the
    BoS Bunker
and they all kept addressing her - things like, "Hey Veronica", "look after Veronica" etc etc. Went back to where I found her and she wasn't there.

Well, I went up to Black Mountain, and that was a hell of a disappointment.
I was expecting some sort of series of missions but after I fought my way up I went into a building, found a robot, repaired it and when I left I met Tabitha who thanked me for fixing the robot and then left. I was wondering if it was a bug, or had I miss read what I had been asked to do at the start of the mission.

Although, I did get Raul as a companion. I knew I recognised his voice but had to look it up to find out he was Danny Trejo, which is pretty cool.

Edit: oh and I also picked up
    Annabelle
    . She's my type of girl. ;)

She attacked me on sight, never got a chance to talk to her. Decent ammo stockpile, but like you I was expecting there to be more to it, maybe a trawl through some underground bunker or building fighting past dozens of Nightkin before finally getting to her. Anti-climactic.

Found black mountain to be very profitable, riduclous money for supersledges and heavy incinerators.
I freed raul first(used science of 100 on the console), which apparently she does'nt like, so if any wants the not killing ending, don't free raul till after you fix the bot and talk to tabitha.. BTW ED-E is very handy you can target nightkin cloaked with VATS
    .

Speaking of ridiculous money, I found the BoS bunker to be great for stealing lots of money, if your character hasn't a problem with that sort of thing.

Is it possible to clear the cache on PS3 like you can on 360? The game was nearly unplayable for me yesterday, kept crashing constantly and on a few occasions just didn't load up at all. I play in consant fear of the whole thing freezing again now, and that's no fun.

Otherwise loving it mind, trying to get to the
Great Khan encampment near Goodsprings, but I either get killed by deathclaws or endless cazadores, how do I get in there?

Grrr, why is so much of this thread just a big grey box that I'm scared to look at for fear of finding out stuff I don't want to know?

I've checked a few of them and didn't know what they were talking about, other bits I'm hoping I forget before I get to where ever it is.

In a bit of a pickle with the main quest.
I've pretty much wiped out The Legion before getting to their side of Hoover Dam.. Twice.. I got the mark of Caesar but then killed a few more, and more, and more until the hated my guts. Now I can't get the boat across the river. Is there any possible way to get around this ? I'm way too far since then to even dream of going back to a previous save, the grind involved!

Not that far into the mainquests yet but try chucking on some legion gear?

I killed the Lgion guys at CottonWood Cove and was then able to use the boat. Just don't expect a warm reception when you land at the Legions camp.

So i was playing the game in as a pro-NCR character but when i asked to
exterminate the Brotherhood i could'nt do it. I just love the Brotherhood too much and since i helped Harkin find dirt on the chapter master i could'nt resolve the quest peacefully.

So since FM 11 is out tomorrow is just said to hell with it ill im just going to finish the game so
i went to the Legions camp and wiped them out. it took my a couple of goes to kill caesar and his guards though. Anway i let Benny loose and went into the hidden bunker and upgraded the Secutitrons. I then went to Yes man and gave him the chip and we took over the Lucky 38. (I'd killed Mr.House already a while back for the NCR.) Now ive to go to Hoover Dam.

P.s sorry about all the spoiler tags but i wanted to say what happened without spoiling the final parts of the game for anyone.

I know i love it. I know i could have 3 or 4 other playthroughs of this game and had completely different results each time.

I'm unsure what to do with Benny!
    Any ideas?
After arriving in the strip went to the Lucky 38. Then moved onto the tops casino. Met up with Benny. I felt like I should have killed him but I ended up meeting him in the executive suite and chatted to him. He then went off and sent some goons into my room to take care of me. He then did a runner on me. Should I have killed him? Will I get to run into him again? What did all of you do?
What's the best option for me?
I'm thinking about reloading the game back to before my rendezvous with him and just exploring every nook and cranny.
Should note that I'm playing a fairly pro-NCR anti-Legion playthrough.
