Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    hey guys

just little info would be great .

im 24 years old , and have been with the same employer since im 18 over the last few months it has gone very quite with the recession
There is two of us in the office and not enough work for both , my boss said to us last month the come the end of Aug he will be making one of us redundant.

since i have found out the news i have found out im 2.5 months pregnant
if i take the redundancy what will i be entitled to ?
I rent my own place and pay all my own bills , have never been on the dole
or claimed any benefits in my life and have had a job since im 16 .

If i keep the job im afraid come jan , the company could be gone altogether and i might walk away with noting ...

any advice would be gratefully appreciated x :confused::confused:

You can find out what redundancy you might get here - guess that say at the end of august you get a months notice

    https://redundancy.entemp.ie/rpsportal/initialiseRedundancyCalculatorAction.do?locale=en

This gives you an amount that you are entitled to under the law - the company might offer you more

You are entitled to two weeks statutory (under law) redundancy payment for every year of service plus a bonus week

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
