Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Error message - sprtcmd.exe ?!

I keep getting a weird error message popping up in the bottom corner of my screen saying

"sprtcmd.exe - corrupt file. The file or directory \Users\Public\Desktop is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility."

It's been coming up for a few days now. What does it mean, and what is it telling me to do, and should I do it?! My desktop looks fine to me?!

    It's a Dell Inspiron laptop.

    Thanks for any help!

It's part of the dell support centre software, Just uninstall the Dell Support Center and it should go away. you don't need it anyway, just some dell bloatware.

    Second on the bloatware!

However there would be no harm running a disk check as well.

Go into My Computer. Right click on drive c and go into properties. Look for scan disk/check drive c or words to that effect. Tick both boxes and reboot the machine to do the check.
