Multimedia player - that plays the stuff iPad/Pod doesnt

    I'm looking fora multimedia player that will play most formats such as flac, ape in audio and mkv in video, rather than just the bog standard ones.
    Does such a thing exist at a reasonable price?
    Want something small I can take on the train or bus or plane.

    I bought one of these recently and I'm fairly happy with it. It wont play .mkv unfortunately, but it will play everything else.

    You can get chinese brand ones that play loads of formats but unfortunately in my own experience fail to even come close in performance to my Zune :)

    Have a look at Cowon stuff. I used to have a Cowon whch played anything I threw at it.
