Ok so, heres the deal, I've had a laptop for ages now, like a long long time, an for the past year, its been broken, The screen was completely black, but I could still use it with a VGA cable connected to the TV, was a bit of a pain in the arse, looking at a black screen on the laptop an looking over it at the tv.

Don't ask me why, but today just about 5 mins ago, I searched (Laptop black screen fix) and I opened the first page, it said,

"Easy fix is turn off the laptop, Take out the AC power cord, take out the battery, and hold down the power button for 30 seconds, turn on the laptop and it should be back to normal"

I done that, an hey presto, a year later, an my feckin laptop is working again,

I'm actually breaking my balls laughin, its unreal...

Sounds like your laptop was just outputing through your VGA port, i think most laptops can switch between outputs by pressing fn + f8. Im guessing taking the battery out etc just reset the bios settings or something.

No it works when the VGA cable isnt attached, but its broken again, its after going black, I'm looking online an cant find a soloution, I can see the screen behind the darkness, but Its not lighting up for me, I'm back to using it now with a VGA cable, I wanna get it fixed tho, it lasted a good 5 mins on that power trick an then it went again, I tried it again an then it just started flashing again an went off, best I can find online is an "invertor" switch iis broken or else the close down screen switch is broken, but I took the screen apart and found nothing, I'm afraid to take the motherboard apart, cause to be quite honest, I havent a clue what I'm doing, but everything was plugged in on the screen side of things..

i have used zavvi as they are cheaper then play and also so monday maddness (worth checking that out), they are part of thehut.com aswell

but since Xmas i have problems getting my games sent over, all my details of address are correct on the site,

but when i finally get my game its either missing my county name or my town name, so post offiec have no idea where to send it, i have failed to get 2 games over xmas an they had to be re sent.

not putting you off using them just telling you my experience, even though i told them my correct details over the phone.

Just after being released from the Mater Hospital in Dublin. Was in a park in Drumcondra at around 10:40pm tonight when I got attacked by some coke head. Nose busted and my cheek and eye are swollen like you couldnt imagine. There are some absolute bastards out there in this city that do stupid ****e to get kicks. Fúcking prick. Oh and sorry Lee for not hoppin on the PS3 tonight. I would of and all but got caught up in that bull****
