Lodge a formal complaint with the head of the school if your feeling so aggrieved by the lack of direction your course/module seems to be taking..

I wouldnt say anything directly to the lectures involved. They wont look kindly on you if you inform them you are disgusted with them..

They will be more inclined to mark you up rather than down.. they will know who you are when correcting exam scripts etc (even thou in my college its annonymous.. which is BS)
Despite them saying they will act professionally when grading you etc its human nature.. plus, they don't seem like the most professional bunch in the 1st place from your description.

Perhaps soon after this exam session (if you have one) would be ideal timing as you don't want word getting back to them the same time your exam scripts arrive on their desk...

Might do that depending on what comes out of the e-mail (probably nothing). Cheers lads.

I think pharmacy is around the 550 mark. Water under the bridge now Lee. In my opinion you should definitely not drop out of the course at this stage, 2.5 years put into it now and it would be a bit of a waste. If you finish it you will always have that degree in your back pocket and go on from there . You might want to change entirely and do a masters in basket weaving ! :D

What I'm saying is, just because you've done this course doesn't tie you down infront of a microscope for the rest of your life (maybe you would like this, I dont know). Look upon it ad more of a springboard to your future career.

    Tl;dr finish out your course

Maybe the first post was written out of anger and utter contempt :p

I'll probably do 4th year. I know this isn't all I'll be doing but its still cúntish when the only reason you don't wanna go to class is because lecturers are draining all want/enjoyment/desire to work in college.

Aye, just stick it out ya noob.

My brother did a 3 year sports degree (LOL) in liverpool, came back here and decided it was a joke of a degree and did a postgrad in accountancy, just finished his last professional exam last week. Dropping out 2.5 years into a course is silly unless you've your mind set on something specific.

Ah I'm sure lee will finish it up.. It would be silly not too.

Plus, if you decided to start another degree later down the line it'll cost you lots n lots of monies!!

Make the most of the cheap education while you can! Most of us on here that are in college/finished college already are quite the lucky few!!

For any lads thinling of a change in careers, pharmacy or dentistry is the way to go. There's gonna be a shortage of dentists soon, so they'll be able to charge what they like. And as for pharmacy, get a nice handy job in a hospital, clean work, no getting the pays dirty. Both pay savage money, so the nurse tells me. She was thinking about going back to college to do pharmacy, then junior came along. She fecking loves that student card, was mad when it expired.

As long as you have a degree or masters, they'll take ya in I think. Although the info came from a nurse, and she kinda already has a bit of know how with what drugs suit what illness.

[/S] Jokes, there's damn all forensics in this course, it's basically Analytical Chemistry. Never consider this course, ever. Sickening thing is I had 510 points from LC so coulda/shoulda gone to Dublin/Galway, cr*p guidance counsellor in secondary was no use..

    /rant :)

guidance counsellors should be ignored at all cost, if someone knew that much about what makes a great career they wouldnt be working as a guidance counsellor :pac:

speaking of careers and whatnot, I'm thinking of ditching Ireland for a year or two, I have literally nothing aside from a car loan keeping me here, no girlfriend, no major debt, parents live abroad anyway, have a sh1t job I'd walk out of tomorrow if I didnt have bills to pay and basically no idea what I'm still living in Ireland for, thinking Canada, since Oz is practically like living in Ireland these days anyway, probably more GAA shirts over there than here lol and there's far too many things in "the top 10 most venemous/deadly/vicious" lists that live there for my liking.

FREE GAFF. Have to pop out in a bit to stock up on easy foods. Better get 2 bottles of Jack too, coz I always run out when the offie is closed, or too langers to walk to get more. And 4 bottles of 7up. That should keep me going till friday anyway.

Lee, you're getting off fairly lightly in that locklight thing. Although they've asked you loads of times to name the girl. Funny thing is, most of us in here already know who she is!
