Directed my first scene last night, its kinda nervewracking when other people are working to make something you've imagined look like you want it on camera. Hopefully gonna get some jobs crewing other short films now, I'm on the way!

    Just sayin' :)

First NFS was this what a game. Last one was this then I went off the franchise a bit. Is the new one really that good?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 22,565 ✭✭✭✭Tallon

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,127 ✭✭✭✭Leeg17

Its awesome, dont have it yet but played a mates copy, its only 35 quid in gamestop at the mo might pick it up at the weekend, its the same team who made the Burnout series, best racing games ever, screw ultra realistic driving, I have a real car I can do that in, I wanna scream around corners at 200mph and drive underneath trucks :pac:

The Gran Turismo games are amazing looking and the amount of detail is staggering, I get why people love them but the stats and customisation just bore me to tears, much prefer istant racing like Outrun, Burnout and Need for Speed.

Burnout 3 is still the best racing game ever imo.

    and Mario Kart

Only played it on N64, but I agree :D
(CTR wasn't as good, but still a great game imo)

CTR was shít.... like really shoiiiiiite

  • Site Banned Posts: 26,456 ✭✭✭✭Nuri Sahin

Ah CTR was grand ol game. I downloaded it onto my PS3 over the summer. Some really good times spent on it in the early 00's. Some of my favourite tracks are in that game.

Diddy Kong Racing is another good one, another one on the N64. Mix of land, sea and air racing.

Still, both pale in comparison to the epicness of Mario Karts pre-Gamecube.

edit - Road Rash for the SNES

DKR and road rash were awesome.. I really didn't enjoy CTR though

I only ever had a demo of it but it was amazing.

16 or so cars started out in a big bowl, all pointing towards the middle. Lights went green and you put the pedal to the metal until you hit something.

    Genius.

The funny thing was the demo was enough of an actual game to warrant not buying the full thing :pac: I had it on my PS1 demo disc and never bought the full game as anytime we got bored we'd just play the DD demo and smash the sh1t out of cars for a while, fun stuff.
