    Hi all,

I was in Tashkent, Uzbekistan a couple of years ago and got to see the Quran there http://pakistanidragon.com/ar/t255.htm.

What I remember was what looked like a red stain on the side of the pages and I was told that someone was decapitated while reading it.

    Anyone know anymore about it?

I also spent some time visiting the sights and cultural things in Samarkand. 300px-Registan_-_Samarkand_-_15-10-2005.jpg

Amazing architecture and culture. I highly recommend a visit if you ever get the chance to visit it you should.

Also very work a quick read here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samarkand . Facinating history.

Yes.... If my memory and knowledge serves me right... that would be the blood of our master Uthman Ghani RA the third Caliph of Islam who was martyred while he read this manuscript...

Do you have any photographs of this manuscript that you managed to take by any chance?
