Turtle Tank filter?

hi, ive a jewel 70 aquarium and i have my turtle in it, i dont like the filter system in it though so i was thinking of cutting it out and getting a new filter. Can anyone recommend me a good filter system for a turtle tank or should i work away with what i have.
