Monaghan photographer's equipment stolen Thursday

    hi guys a photographer in monaghan had his gear stolen in monaghan yesterday. this is the link to the gear he had stolen.



    The items stolen include: 1x Nikon D3 camera, 1x Nikon DX camera body, 4x Nikon flash guns, 1 x 70/200 Nikon Lens, 1 x 300/2.8 Nikon Lens, 1x Nikon Fisheye Lens, 1x Nikon 14 mm Lens, 1x Nikon Converter, 3 x R/C Pocket Wizards, 1x 15 ins Mac Pro Laptop computer, 1x Quantam Flash Head, 1x Thinktank Urban Airport Security Bag, 1x Thinktank Urban Disguise 50 Security Bag, Studio Lighting, Studio Stands, Camera leads, Flash leads, Filters etc.

    All photographers and photography enthusiasts on both sides of the border are asked to keep a look out for these stolen items in the hope that that they can be returned to their rightful owner. If you have any information please pass it on to the authorities.

    What a lot of equipment! What a terrible loss for him. Hope he had good insurance cover.

    Wow, thats a lot of gear. I doubt they will make their way down to Dublin. The odd time Id have people come ask me to buy point and shoots from them, obviously dodgy, I dont but I have always said to the guys working around me that if someone comes in trying to sell a dslr Ill take it and try restore it to its rightful owner. It must be very upsetting to lose your whole kit.

    That is a lot of equipment to loose. I met him last Monday for the launch of my company's new expansion. He takes a lot of the photos for the northern standard and some other local papers.

    Didnt realise it was Rory Gearys stuff. Awful thing to happen.
    I can say though that I saw him on Saturday with a couple of cameras. They could have just been borrowed ones though.
