Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

He did an interview yesterday where he described Wenger as 'one of the greatest'. He also thought he might change his own name to 'black something' ...

Forgot about that bit - went on about Arsene's name being part of Arsenal and then mentioned the bit about changing his name to Black something.

There was a bit when he was on about taking on Arsenal and was doing some air-punching/mock boxing moves.

    Very very strange stuff.

Was like some sort of rambling drunken nutter down the pub who corners you and wants to explain his theories on everything under the sun

I think the pressure might have got to him.

I really like the way Blackpool move the ball around.
I bet you do, it leaves Blackpool totally exposed at the back ;)

Yup - any team with a bit of cop would close down the space a lot more and try and keep it tight.

Blackpool playing football against Arsenal all very praiseworthy but just seems naive.

Great ball from Walcott again. He's playing very well. Shava unlucky not to score, great save from the keeper. He's still a lazy so and so though.

Decent save. Chamakh and Walcott have been playing wonderfully well today.

If you are a full-back and you are marking Walcott and you have no pace, you shouldnt really be bombing on.

Chamak - stepped on a tack

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,164 ✭✭✭Cypher_sounds

    Should have scored there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

The left-back Crainey has been torn apart so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,458 ✭✭✭✭gandalf

Ah Chamakh I need the Fantasy League points!!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,570 ✭✭✭✭Frisbee

Disappointing finish from Chamakh there. Him and Walcott are linking up very well.

Yep! He's nearly at the half way line, insanity when you're up against Walcott.

This game is set up for Walcott to shine. The full back can't deal with him at all.

As it stands we are at the top of the league :D

Only 36? games to go :D

Walcott through again, Crainey nowhere to be seen. Surely only a matter of time until he scores again.

Great ball by Rosicky for Walcott, shame about the finish

Full-back caught again - may as well not be on the pitch for all he's doing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,570 ✭✭✭✭Frisbee

Now *that's* more like the Walcott we know...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,591 ✭✭✭✭Aidric

That was beautiful interplay. Woeful from Walcott.

i gotta say, Arshavin never looks like he's communicating with anyone.

Walcott is killing them, but as usual, doesn't have the quality 80-90% of the time.

    penalty, red Blackpool.

  • Registered Users Posts: 171 ✭✭SpodoKamodo

    Penalty, red card. Game over

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,178 ✭✭✭_Bella_

    Penalty and red card!

    Chamakh attack

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,369 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

    wow, outside the area anyway.

by the letter of the law, he's gotta go.

this is going to be a mullering now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 171 ✭✭SpodoKamodo

    Was definately outside the box.

Shava converts the soft peno that should have been a free.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,518 ✭✭✭matrim

Definite red card but shouldn't have been a peno

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,458 ✭✭✭✭gandalf

Looks like "The Man in Black" has ruined Blackpools day!

2 games 2 red cards against Arsenal

    Good pen by Arshavin.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,178 ✭✭✭_Bella_

Really well take penalty by Arshavin!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Holloway got this all wrong. He should have done a Blackburn or a Stoke on this.

That was so close, think the red card was right but it should have been a free-kick, not a peno, it was a tough call though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,591 ✭✭✭✭Aidric

Marginal call whether inside ot outside the area. Clinically struck pen from Arshavin.

I'm confused, during the world cup it seemed being the last man didn't make it an automatic red card, have they changed their minds again?

I get the feeling Blackpools +4 goal difference will be in the negative this evening

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,021 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Nothing marginal about that call it was definitely outside the box, horrendous refereeing.

Looks like they have. TBH as an Arsenal fan even I will admit its a soft peno and the red card is very very harsh indeed.

Imho it should have been a free and yellow at most.

I wouldn't really look too much into this game, Arsenal will not get an easier game this season, unless it's the return leg to Blackpool.

I'm an Arsenal fan too, I wouldn't mind the red card if it were in the "rules", but they just don't seem to be able to decide.

Ah well, take what we can get. :pac:

Another good link up between Walcott and Chamakh. Probably should have scored

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,178 ✭✭✭_Bella_

    Get in Walcott!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,570 ✭✭✭✭Frisbee

    Another for Theo.

CB made that waaaaay too easy for him.

    Arsenal like the Harlem Globetrotters.

Getting in to good positions but not exactly looking clinical.

Surprised - might just be a matter of getting off the mark.

Presume neither RVP or Fabregas will make an appearance.

    Walcott on for a hat-trick :p
