Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Well done to Mark and the rest of the team

Irish rider Mark Rohan showed superb form today in winning the hand-cycling road race at the world paracycling championships in Baie Comeau, Canada.

He broke away in the final kilometre to take the best result yet for the Irish team.

It followed on from his fifth place in the H1 individual time trial over 11.4 kilometres on Thursday, and Cathal Miller’s fifth in the C5 time trial Yet another fifth place was picked up by Catherine Walsh and her tandem pilot Francine Meehan in the B women’s 22.8 kilometre time trial.

Irish riders have taken part in four other events to date. Karol Doherty was 16th in the H3 individual time trial on Thursday. Michael Delaney and Con Collis were eighteenth in the Men B’s time trial yesterday, while Andrew Fitzgerland and Paul Giblin were 22nd. Colin Lynch was 12th in the C2 time trial and Enda Smyth was 21st in the C4 race against the clock.

    The world championships conclude tomorrow.
