Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So many people write a player off after one game, its a little sad really.....

And a healthy dose of over-rating after one game going on too. Many a relegated team have had a thumping victory early in the season. Not saying Newcastle are going down, but both them and Carroll need more than this game against a manager-less Villa to prove themselves.

Did not say they didnt.... Loads to prove. need another 40 points, thats what we are looking for. Nothing more. Was referring to the nonsense after the Man U game anyway

Carrol was outstanding today, thats undeniable, Wont score 30 or even 20 goals in the PL this season though

Wasn't really aiming at you, just at the trends in the comments.

Hughton as entertaining as ever, yawn

he can be as boring as he wants to be if he keeps us up.
I hope even if things turn badly we still keep him...we need a bit of continuity for the sake of the team.
I say regardless of whether we stay up or down we should keep Chris for at least another 2-3 seasons to give him a proper chance.

One hand in the air? Isn't that how shearer celebrated 85% of his goals. The other 15% being two hands in the air

Just to prove I wasn't imagining things, others thought the same, he has denied it/explained himself though.

    Typical bitter SMB.

Top 4 certainly isn't on. But putting the mackems back in their very small box will be business as normal again.

FFS, Barton points to his tach and hes a Nazi, yawn. Thug he may be, nazi, pffft. Not that he dosent deserve it but his every move is analysed to a huge degree. He will get sent off this season for something innocuous because of who he is and what he has done. (probably a couple for taking someones knees off too :P)
