Meteor MMS & Data settings and Carrier logo for iOS 4.x

Can mods please make this sticky?

Here are the packages to install MMS & Data settings, Carrier Logo (including HD logo for iPhone 4) voicemail button etc for Meteor users on iOS 4.x.x

Just install either version, depending on which iOS you are running.

Install Instructions:

1. Copy the package to /var/mobile (any method is fine, iFunBox or SSH etc)
2. Download iFile from cydia
3. Open iFile and navigate to /var/mobile
4. Tap on the package and tap install.
5. Reboot your iPhone. After reboot, you may need to remove and reinsert your sim card.

Please let me know of any issues and I will do my best to sort them out!

Yes you must be jailbroken. Just go to www.jailbreakme.com on your iPhone and "slide to jailbreak"

There is problem with data o gsm(2g) and technical support saying that I need

to upgrade to 4.0.2 ;/

Ok, This should work.

Let me know

If you have already installed (and it is still installed) the Meteor Carrier Bundle, or your CommCenter is already patched please use the "Three.Settings.Only" package. Otherwise, use the one relevant to your iOS version.

Alternatively, you could pop your 3 sim into your iphone, go to settings>general>about and wait there until a pop-up appears telling you there is a carrier update available.

However; If you do it that way, you cannot edit MMS, Data settings manually, you do not get a carrier logo, tethering is disabled.

By installing my package all this and more are enabled.

Can't install your Three4.0.1.deb file I'm getting error which looks like (see attachment)

Installed correctly Three.Settings.Only but it does nothing with my iPhone..

You're getting that error because you already have the meteor bundle installed. Install the settings only bundle, then reboot and reinsert sim card

You don't put the rar on the iPhone, extract the rar and ssh the deb to your iphone

If you are unsure how to use ssh, just google it and you will get some good guides.
Otherwise, download a program called 'ifunbox' and just plug your iPhone in by USB. It doesn't matter what iPhone you're using, just install the deb relevant to your iOS.

Yes you can, but you can not get carrier logo, disable that annoying "call forwarding is active" popup, or tethering etc.

Just enter the meteor data settings into settings>general>network>cellular data network

I've gotten the logo and voicemail button but the mms settings didnt change for me, tried a reboot aswell and still no joy. When I click reset settings the phone shows up o2 settings

lads, I have an unlocked o2 iphone 3gs with the latest software update, running on meteor, and I cannot get the 3g to work at all, I've scoured all the threads on the site, I have no interest in jailbreaking. Can anyone help?

Very strange :-S

You could try to completely uninstall it, reboot and reinsert sim. Then Install it again, reboot and reinsert sim. That should solve it

I haven't been able to get FaceTime to work

I read that it needs to send an international text to activate FT, and I have no credit at the mo so maybe that's why it's not working, dunno though.

If anyone has been able to get it working on Meteor let us know!!
