Depends on the rest of your system - primarily your CPU and RAM, and the resolution you play your games at. It also helps if you have a PSU strong enough to power such a system... :o

    System Spec.

    CollerMaster CM 690 II Case
    Gigabyte GA-X58A-Ud5 MotherBoard

whats your CPU? and what was your previous GPU, also im not too informed on the nvidia fermi cards but from what ive heard the gtx 480 is a power hog so im not sure if 650 W is enough for it

    HI.

    CPU Intel Core i7 930

My previous GPU was a 8800GT.

So hoping that this is a giant leap forward.

it will be a big leap but you would want to do a bit of research (or maybe the guys here will tell you) on whether a 650 Watt Psu is enough for an i7 with a gtx 480 as you dont want to be disappointed if anything goes wrong

The HX650 pumps out an impressive 52A on the 12V rail (-> 624W), which is more than enough for this setup.
What a machine :) Are you going to set the 480 under water, too?

Just finished setting up the system.

And I am very impressed so far.

It has to be the most silent system that I have had.

Works well with the Dell 24".

Just a few tweaks to do.

Need to add the sound system. and I am considereing upgrading to raid 5.

But the GPU is very impressive.

I wonder should I consider over clocking.

One of the interesting features is the potential for 3 way SLI..
Now that would be an upgrade.

    regards

    overclocking = heat and noise

SLI would be better on the grounds of 2+ quiet GPUs vs one loud one.

HDDs I wound up with a WD Caviar TB and a Seagate Barracude TB. The Caviar is annoyingly loud, and clickity. Not oh****itsgonnablow clickity: Windows 95 clickity. If you want quiet raid, Barracudas are plenty quiet.
