Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Jimmy Milner looks good in blue :D

    1-1 or 2-1 imo.

Would obv prefer a 1-1, but 2-1 with Tevez as first scorer pays out better so I'll settle for that :D

This could potentially be a great game with both teams wanting to stake an early marker for their intentions for the season.

I think the 442 could really work well for Liverpool if they can get Gerrard on the ball and with some space, of course City are set up to prevent it happening but lets hope it doesn't choke the life out of the game.

I know they're defensive but De Jong and Yaya are also talented would it still not be a waste of talent if they were on the bench!?

I'm referring to the lack of attacking talent tbh

And they'd get the treatment if they refused to play while holding out for a move. Mascherano will be lauded in some corners despite this by the same fans who would lynch one of City's many mercenaries, which was my point.

    Excellent post.

You've said something that the majority of Liverpool fans won't agree with though, so prepare for the wrath of 'Mr Alan' and 'mike65'

    Why's that?

I commented about a player having total disrespect for a club but not getting any grief from that clubs supporters over said disrespect.

I have a right to comment just as much as you do. If you disagree with my comment I'd like to hear some 'value or insight' from you as to why exactly you disagree.

Stop trying to change the subject.

Mascherano obviously has no respect for Liverpool and it is strange that the clubs fans still seem to think he's a legend.

Just coz noone on here gives a **** about sunderland doesnt mean u have to spend ur time trying to wind up opposition fans. You don't like Liverpool, we get it.

I expect a real big performance from Liverpool and I think they might just take it.

I do be worried that city will press us too much in our half and we won't be able to handle it.

Milner on the left by the looks of it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,595 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

    Liverpool really missing Mascherano here.

Torres should have looked up and passed it out to Kuyt, would have had a much better chance. A yellow alread for that, bit of a joke that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,909 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

    Yellow already. Lovely.

Inverted wingers are the new DMCs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,399 ✭✭✭✭Thanx 4 The Fish

Shocking marking in the middle for the pool. Carra just left him.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,129 ✭✭✭therokerroar

    Great goal, well done City.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,169 ✭✭✭JohnnyRyan99

Hopefully Mancini will have Barry at least try and get forward rather than play as an out and out DMC.. In fairness in a few of our pre season games it did look like he was tryin to get Barry to play higher up, leading to Barry scoring against Valencia

    :D:D:D
