    Hi all,

Saturday September 18th is billed as International Observe the Moon Night. This would be a good event for clubs to mark a club event around another international date whilst also reintroducing your club the Joe Public (as most clubs restart their seasons in September following the summer break). It doesn't have to be just about observing the Moon either - you can talk about exploration, history, geology, folklore and more.

Further information about the date can be found here:
    www.observethemoonnight.org/

If your club is/will be thinking about hosting an event make sure to let the rest of us know here or on the IFAS website at www.irishastronomy.org

The Moon will be a waxing Gibbous that night.

    Clear Skies,

    Seanie Morris.
