The grant is paid to the college and then the college pays it to you, and is often months late. I don't know how slow it is in Donegal, but I wouldn't hold my breath. You'll more than likely need your own funds to get set up in college.

it is supposed to be due in september/october but don't worry if it's not in until near christmas. it depends on the county council but there's been stories of the grant not coming through until april or may :eek:
