Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Under what circumstances can the Defence Forces aid the civil powers? Would the Minister have to request help? Or can someone lower down ask for help in say, an eco-riot on the West coast that's gotten out of control?

To my knowledge , a Garda Superintendent , can in theory , request assistance from his nearest Army Barracks and while I am sure that would happen in non-confrontational situations like a missing person search I would guess that in practice troops getting involved in rioting would require a higher authority.
No doubt others here will know for sure.
