A long awaited paper published in the pnas journal today has confirmed the presence of a retrovirus in over 85% of cfs patients studied. These results confirm the findings of the original paper from the Whittemore Peterson Institute last october. These retrvirus are also being found in fibromyalgia prostate cancer and in atypical ms. There is even some suggestion that autism should be considered for investigation.

Already some drs in the US are treating such patients with anti retrovial drugs , Results are mixed. Those who have the conditions for the least amount of time seem to do much better than those of us who have been long term ill.
