    in the uk recently and was necking this cloudy lumpy cider any where in dublin sell something like this

    Any specialist beer off licence will have it. I see Weston's scrumpies are on special at DrinkStore at the moment.

    I was interested until I saw the special offer price ...

    The same bottle is under a fiver sterling in the UK :rolleyes:

    Think I'll wait till I'm over to try it.

    Yes, they have significantly lower excise duty on cider in the UK.

    Cask cider has become more commonplace in decent UK beer pubs in the last couple of years. One of the CAMRA cider bods told me that the blanket marketing of Magner's has helped raise awareness of, and demand for, proper cider too.

    AFAIK Redmonds in Ranelagh have a few different types of scrumpy.

    That two litre glass jug would be perfect for yeast starters. I think I'll pop down and get one after work. I suppose I'll have to dispose of the contents somehow...
