Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

HeatPump Question

Hi,I'm currently in the process of building my new house and am interested in installing a geothermal heatpump system with underfloor heating. The house is 1.5 stories and around 2850 sq feet in size. I'm in the process of asking various vendors for pricing on heatpumps but need some advice. One vendor has recommended a <SNIP> heatpump together with a 180L hot water cylindar - this is priced around 12k. Another vendor has recommended a <SNIP> heatpump and a 300L hotwater cylinder - this is priced at 14.5k. Obviously I would like to go with the cheaper option but can anyone advise if the 12kw heatpump will be sufficient to heat the size of the house I'm building compared to a 16kw heatpump? and would this have an impact on the running costs?

Mod Edit: Do not name companies on thread, thank you.
