Does anyone know of evening courses running in Sligo town in the next few weeks?

Anything like bike maintenance, art, pottery, writing, knitting or sewing would be of interest. (Anything at all really)

    Thanks

Would love to find out too - is there even a website which can redirect us?

    There is nothing online.

Found this online, not sure if it's any use:

    Thanks Magnumlady- have seen that.

Either it's not a great site, or they have been badly informed. eg. since when does "audio typewriting" count as personal development, or legal skills, accounts or business skills count as acting.

Mind you my eyes lit up when I saw wine tasting, but it's actually in Dublin when you actually read it.

There are a few other courses on there, a couple of which I have done in the last few years. But I'm not altogether happy to rely on this site for info when they don't even catalogue correctly

    Hi there,

Not exactly an evening course - but as I just posted here, Toastmasters might be an option if you're looking for self-development.

    Just a thought...

St Michael's Family Life Centre have loads of brilliant courses for very reasonable fees. Art, Cookery, Organic Gardening, Crochet/Knitting etc. Also lots of therapies and self-development type programmes. You can get a brochure just inside their front door. Sligo Yoga centre is good for yoga (obviously!) Mary Mc Donagh's Chapel Lane Studio do adult tap/ dance classes. Sligo Kayak Club and Sligo Rowing Club meet up in Doorly Park in the evenings.

Have you tried FAS in Sligo?? They do great evening courses. Have done a few myself there and they are brilliant. Try also the Gingham Duck or Inspire for tips on Crochet/ Knitting classes.;)
