I'm gonna try to make it down. I'll be driving so do any of the locals know of a handy parking area to the venue?

I usually park in the jervis street shopping centre. It's just about 5 mins from the xgc.

That sounds like just the ticket, how much does it normally cost?

I shall be down to use my free entry ^^

And Dan I'll be in at 1.15ish, is it ok? I'm definitely coming so you can mark me as a certain. Don't want to cause issues with time delays or w/e

Depends on how long your gonna be there I guess but I think all day is in or around 12 euro. Not 100 % on that though.

Hope to be there to meet people, learn matchups and take my scrub play to the next level :D I'm usually more comfortable being destroyed by people online that I actually know / have met...Only one way to up the game I suppose

    🤪

So eh, spectators have to pay 5 euro in? I'm reading that right yus?

Only if you plan on playing in the casuals after. If you're just there to watch, I'm pretty sure (but not 100%) that'd be fine to just show up and watch.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,084 ✭✭✭✭Kirby

If are just coming to watch then obviously its free. :)

Yeah Voa got it. If you're not playing then you don't have to pay. If you want to play but not compete in the tournament then it's €5.

Also a girl at Inferno

Awesome! I'm only learning how to play so watching is all I plan on doing for the moment :p Freeness is an extra bonus \o/

As for the girl thing... just wait till I'm actually playing ;)

Once you move up playing in casuals is a great way to learn.

You just gotta watch out for this one guy from Clare. He's a troublemaker but I'll point him out on the day.

    Ugh, Clare people :(

Luckily, they're all shíte at SF so I'm sure I'll be grand :P

Extremely doubtful I'll make it up to this, but I shall try my darndest.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,910 ✭✭✭Sisko

Don't be so hard on the Clare folk , sure they've only recently discovered electricity. It's not their fault. For shame.

@Hotaru, you should try and get some games online with people from here, playing (and losing) to people who know the game well is the fastest way to learn.

Naturally its even better in person where people can explain things to you face to face. So maybe you should try and get some casuals in if you can, although tbh things get pretty hectic at tournaments.

Anyway OT, I'm only a maybe for this, I'll know a day or so before.

    Thanks for the advice :D

Haven't any game/Xbox of my own atm but getting both soon (hopefully >_<) so I'll definitely be wandering online then :)

And as I say, I'll be popping into as many casuals/tournaments as I can in the meantime. Amazing how much you can pick up simply from watching!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,910 ✭✭✭Sisko

    Get a ps3

    <_<

    >_>

    :(

Yeah I mean it is true that you'll pick up a lot from watching, a lot of people learn stuff from watching high level matches on youtube.

But a lot of it is muscle memory and execution also. Your hands need to know what to do even if your mind already does.... if that sounds... sane...

    yeah. ...lol

Will this be played on 360 or PS3?

  • Registered Users Posts: 699 ✭✭✭blag

I'll be down, hopefully be there by 1 but might be pushing it. Half 1-2 start would be ideal for people travelling as it's always better to get in a few games before starting groups.

Can be a bit unfair coming all the way down and then having to play your first match of the day in groups against someone who's been playing casuals for a few hours.

Also, Hound: I'll bring down that stick for you I mentioned at SVB.

    Both, usually, but predominantly 360.

Yeah, so far numbers are looking pretty good.

what are you comparing these numbers to ?

versus how many actually showed up too.

    28 people showed.

My point however is that in regards to you pointing out that 4 people have said they cannot make it. Normally we have 8 - 10 people that rule themselves out.
