Teh only reason this shower want to see this mess created in the Green and this area of central Dublin truned into a quarry is to fook the place up for the incoming government - its sheer spite - they have spent the last ten years strolling around to Shenanigans on da Green for their nice juicy steak paid for by their departmental secretary (well actually us) at lunchtime (and then signing his expenses for them) and generally living it up in this lovely part of Dublin - and they don't want the other crowd enjoying the same priveliges - so not content with leaving office (as they will during this project if they get it started) with the country totally bolloxed they want to make sure the next lot coming in can't enjoy a good lunch in Shenanigans on da Green.

Its all one great big conspiracy - and to think the Germans had to go hitting the north inner city when they could have started the whole process off with one carefully aimed bomb, just a few yards down from where they should have dropped a bomb....

think you need a lie down there westtip.

Metro North should absolutely be continuing south towards Terenure and perhaps by the time MN actually gets to SSG there will be political will to do it, not at a breakneck pace but one or two stations at a time with wide stop spacing and feeder buses (since stations are by far the most expensive bit).

You can't bake a cake without breaking an egg. There will be massive disruption to a corner of the Green for a few years, but when it is all over the Green will be restored and our city will have been improved immensely. We need to concentrate on the positives and put up with temporary disruptions, not only in the case of the Metro/DART station but also with life in general.

    it's rubbish...
