Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum but I have a load of minidv tapes with family stuff on them which I want to transfer to my mac. Unfortunately I no longer have a camcorder than can play the tapes.

Is there a cheap alternative that I can connect via usb/firewire that will allow me to transfer the footage?

You'll probably have to buy another miniDV camcorder. (the camcorder is probably still less expensive than the regular playback deck... those were generally about 3x as much as the camcorder.)
