Is the Voodoo Club still open for business?

The reason I ask is that there have been no updates in the Real-World Tournaments & Events section for a good while now.

Havn't been there in a long time , but it is still open.
Results seem to be up to date on their site.

Voodoo & their cohorts have been very naughty boys
& posts from them are no longer permitted on this site. :(

Any links to what got them in trouble?

I'd still be interested to know. PM me a link if you wish. If not, don't worry about it.

There's two sides to every story, and there's no ban on them posting here AFAIK

    No ban in place

Apologies, they were banned on IrishPokerBoards.com not here.
Hope the clubs shareholders continue to support it.

Don't think they were necessarily banned from IrishPokerBoards either.

Not 100% sure though, just saying that I think the door is still open there if Voodoo choose to meet the posting requirements of mods. Its still very busy in there most nights.

IrishPokerBoards.com asked them to explain their behaviour.
The moderators take the view their responses were insufficient
and have revoked their right to post on that site.
Should The Voodoo decide to apologise/explain
the the door is indeed open for a reversal of the "Ban".

It's a bit warmer but still not great IMO.
I have cold blood though, most people find it ok AFAIK.

I've played there a couple of times myself and found it cold too. Thought it was just me though. Nice place though.

Aye, that was sorted a good while ago.

Now, it's not exactly a sauna in there, but it's alot better than it was.

I play in Voodoo a fair bit, they'll installed new heaters!
Speaking from my own experience, I find it friendly, the dealers professional and the players are encouraging of your game.
Give it a try I say!

last monday night got nearly 50 runners

Most nights Voodoo Card Club gets 4-5 tables, every 2nd / 3rd night up to 7 tables! Is very popular, with lots of return repeat runners :)

If that makes you feel better guys (or girls) that having to believe a player's opinion, that you don't agree with, about a club you ahve some grudge against, knock yourselves out! lol

I play there, for the last 7 months or so, nothing more, nothing less, just speaking (as I said in previous post in this thread), I speak as I find, rather than listening to other people's opinions of days gone by..

Either way, makes no difference to me, I'm unlikely to ever bump into you there lol but if I do, you'll be welcome I imagine :)

This is boards.ie so I just expressed an opinion, clearly gets under your skin, lol

Penguin is no shill account FWIW. Def overstating the numbers tho - change it to 2-3 nights a week for the 4 tables and once or twice a week for more and it's closer.

Pretty feckin quiet over here lads - just about to look for Westbury details as heard their monthly is on and has reasonable runners. Dunno if they post anywhere anymore.
