I cant speak for the Tz8 but when I bought my Tz7 this time last year, I did a lot of research and found that Pixmania was the cheapest.

do you need/want all the new features- high quality video etc.
If not, go for an older model- it'll be a lot cheaper.
I bought mine from Eaby- TZ3 I think. They go by a different name in the USA (ZS or similar).
