Just wanted opinions on when to change my daugther from high back booster to regular booster seat. She is just turned 6.

    Thx!

Isn't there a weight level written on the booster seats and the child has to weight that much?

High back booster seat is until 22kg to 25kg if you like. Can switch to normal booster at 22kg. That's what the rules say- try googling it.

My six year old is still only just under 20kg so we have to wait another bit. I told her she has to eat more vegetables!:D

You probably have to use a bit of common sense too though- if the child is tall and the seat belt is at the right place ( ie not against their neck) without the back etc. Mine is tall but for now the back seems fine.

There's safety research out that recommends keeping kids in the high back seats. Britax no longer make the smaller booster seat because of this and have launched a campaign. I'm researching a seat for my 3 year old and discovered this.

    Hi

Thanks for the replies. I went to a well known toy and nursery shop last night and they advised to keep her in the high back booster. The sales rep looked at the seat I had and he discovered the one I had wasn't fitting my car correctly so I bought a new one! Cant be too safe!!!!
