    Journos and others have data mined the web for years. I've seen that with wristwatches of all things. Where designers have looked for trends among online communities and plagiarised those trends. Cool hunting it was called. IMHO that's OK, what's not OK is some lazy arsed crappy untalented hack nicking others content wholesale and either making it look like they had permission or passing it off as their own. I'd not be happy if I was ripped off like that. Especially in the passing it off as their own. In that case I would take it further TBH.
