    It was twenty years ago today that Stevie Ray Vaughan died in a helicopter crash. For the young 'uns on this forum who don't know what they're missing, have a little of this:

    SRV is/was a legend. Amazing sound out of his axe, just a brilliant player. 20 years, gone too soon.

    It made the news. Saddam had entered Kuwait and The Wall was played in Berlin a month earlier. I was staying with my family down in Wexford and through wireless RTE or BBC portable tv news a message that SRV had died. That's how famous he became in the what turned out to be his last year.
