Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Mine was this very serious discussion about Dan Brown's writing style and his use of vivid imagery to display his characters deep emotional trauma to make them more relatable to the reader and there for have more of a connection with them.

It wasn't long before I entered the dark world of Cheesey jokes, puns, photoshop, videos, memes, lols, fails, and After Hours...

According to the link, my first post was something about song lyrics.

According to my memory (and the text of the thread) I thought my first post on boards was in November 2009, and was about people who cheat on vacation, a thread which I innocently started in AH. Given that I had 1 post at the time, I think the regulars thought I was either a) someone's angry wife fishing for information or b) someone's cheating husband looking for validation. :p

I was being a helpful divil in my first post!
Hey I'm in that class too, working on thesis (allegedly!!) at the minute too. I would agree with all of the above, just take it easy as it's not that hard really. It's more of a stamina test than anything. The amount of assignments was a pain but remember that the majority of it is very doable. If I was to do it again I wouldn't leave so much until the last minute but we always say that!! Some people got very wound up because of the lecturers making it more difficult than it actually was but just keep a cool head and don't freak out.

'If you go under the premise that you can't play the ball on the ground it should help to show why a double movement is not a try. If you are tackled on your own 22 and do not release the ball you are penalised - simple.
Same goes if you are tackled before try line. If you can reach and ground ball over or on tryline or momentum has brought you over the line - try given.
If you move after being tackled while still on the ground to reach and score you will be penalised for playing the ball on the ground therefore no try given.

Anyway, it will always depend on the Ref.'

About a local "celebrity" in Galway:
I know this is probably long dead, but I see Knacker Dwarf every day I go in to town. And I mean every day. Thats some feat for a man that small. Anyways. He's always going over chatting to the bus drivers, or eyeing up some girl. Wasn't he supposed to have whacked a few girls arses.. feeling 'em up proper.

I saw him in town today, doing a walk that was a mix between a hop and a waddle. I got the sudden urge to tackle him. I don't know why. Probably because his mouth would be level with my crotch, and he looks like he could be ready to bite.

    Interesting ..

This morning I was clamped in college, I knew the risk but I was late for class and didn't have time to wait for a space, which can take up to an hour. I parked on a kerb with a double yellow line but was not obstructing traffic or anything. I came out an hour later to find a clamp on my car and a sticker asking for €80. I have €20 to my name as I lost my part time job 2 months ago and have reached the end of my savings, so I decided to take the clamp off myself. I left the air out of the tire and drove straight out with no damage to the clamp. My spare tire has a puncture so I had to take the flat to a nearby garage to pump it. I returned 10 minutes later to find the clamp gone. Straight away the clamper van pulls up asking me for the clamp back or €400, which I cant do. I just recieved a phonecall from the guards saying if they don't have the clamp back by tomorrow they'll be questioning me. The area is monitered by CCTV so it will show that I did not steal the clamp but can I still be prosecuted for it?

    I got away with it
