If your that mad about languages you should just study them in TCD because there is culture modules you do aswell.

Yeah but it's not just the culture it's the politics/economics/history of ideas that I love the sound of. And I want to combine them all if you know what I mean? I've explored my options and for the moment I'm repeating. Thanks though :)

Yep the course is 525* (that effing asterix!!) and I got 525. Yes, yes I have checked the second offers!! I know it's insane, but that's the stupid Irish system for ya.

Exact same thing happened to a friend of mine last year, he got an offer for European Studies in the third round. You might get lucky as well!

Random selection sounds like an awful way of deciding college places. Thankfully I didn't have to go through it .

European Studies in Trinity, I got enough points but I was not randomly selected (computer says nooo). Oh well gonna aim for 600 so they simply can't refuse me! Haha.

    Yourself?

Ah cool! I'm unsure :P I keep changing my mind! :D

Didn't get it. Got Social Science in UCD instead. Viewing the scripts in a few minutes to see if I have grounds to appeal the subjects. If they go up I may have a chance of getting Law.

    It's the weekend.
And tomorrow is gonna contain so much sleep.

    Major happyz!

Also, with so much homework and so much sleepyz when you get back from school, how do teachers expect you to fit in study?
I swear, i have to stick matchsticks between my eyelids just to do my homework alone....

I never thought 5th would be so difficult, I knew it wouldn't be a breeze but it's still very hard :( On the plus side I was able to do nearly all of my HL maths homework!

  • Registered Users Posts: 113 ✭✭Chemistry Ftw

5th year is grand, just keep up to date with work and do all your homework, you'll have much less pressure on you going into 6th year

Definitely, put the work in in 5th and you'll have an easier time in 6th and you're not trying to catch up.

5th yeah is quite pooey especially after coming from 4th :(

Waterford sucks in that sense! :P

    It's handy for Limerick/Cork though!

Wouldn't mind living a bit closer to Cork though. My whole family lives there, and making a 3 and a half/4 hour car trip 10 times a year is a major pain.

 And if you end up in Queens add an extra few hours onto that! :P
