Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I used to cycle when I was a kid, but stopped until about two months ago when I started using the dublin bikes. I've really been enjoying it (mostly cycling to/from town, but have went on a few 20-30km cycles), and I figure I should probably buy my own bike. But I don't really know what I'm looking for.

Like I said it's mostly for short journeys, but with occasional (maybe once or twice a week) 20/30km cycles. I'm not so serious about it that I'm willing to spend 300+ on a shiny new bike (and I'd be paranoid it'd just be stolen anyway), so I'm thinking second hand is the best way to go. So first off, any recommendations on shops? And secondly, is there anything particular I should look out for (or stay away from)? I really know nothing. I'm guessing I'd want a hybrid?

    Thanks :)
