The BBQ isn't on they day I'm in either BUT..........................

Bottom of page 7/top of page 8 on that 'Welcome To UCD' book they sent in the post:
There are also many social events, some related to the course you are beginning and others open to all students such as the Orientation BBQ and fresher's ball

    So I'll just go :)

Anyone going to any of them JazzSoc gigs?

A few lil tips from a former fresher: The orientation BBQ is a big pile crap for meeting people/food.it was "raided" last year by hungry/poor students that knew the college so don't be expecting food or queues shorter than 100 people

Pick a spot to meet[When is the BBQ anyway?] A good spot is the wall nearest the concourse, easy to see for people there and plenty of space.

And a description can really help[we did have one guy last year came in and left early as he didn't know who to look for] there isn't a certain kind of head internet people had or do like I did last year, Look for the Ginger guy in the blue SU hoody was enough for most people

P.S:If any of you are nervous about meeting internet strangers, don't be the nicest people I've met was through boards and some of them MAY end up making an appearance at the UCD beers >.>
