Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Awful attempt.

I think the shouting is from Green, telling his defence to push up and get out

I'm actually fuming at that useless Yank at right back for us. We were relatively comfortable until he did that.
Second half he should be hauled off for Barrera with Faubert going right back.

Can't agree more,Spector is top of my "stuff i hate" list.
Don't see why you'd bring in a new winger only to push your right back (who was very good at rb last year) up to rm.
    I'm vexed.
Overall though the match is far from over

Was it a clear peno, didnt see it myself. certinly changed the game cos beforehand it was all doom and gloom in here, now UTD are playing well (according to the posts here) so, was it a genuine Peno claim?

    Anyone???????

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,350 ✭✭✭Het-Field

It could just as easily be 0-0 or 5-0.

The Hammers seem to have been getting advice from Pat Gilroy in terms of the blanket defence.

Spector is useless. Illunga isnt much better

    Anyone???????

The pen was a clear pen. Ridiculous attempt at a tackle.

    Anyone???????

    Yes.

But even if there was less contact, and some of the ball won, it would have been a stonewall peno given the game is at OT.

    So far(imo)
VDS - Nothing much to do, good whenever he's been called on.
O'Shea - Rusty, getting caught by Dyr and he seems to be afraid to cross it.
Vidic - Good, some very important tackles.
    Evans - Quiet.
Evra - Good in defence, final ball is letting him down.
Nani - Being the old Nani, getting into good positions(crossing and shooting positions) but ultimately fcuking them up. I think he's trying too hard to score after the penalty miss.
    Scholes - Playing a blinder.
Fletcher - All over the field, good pressuring and a great shot there at the end.
Giggs - Making bits of Spector and a great pass for Nani there at the end.
Berbatov - Having a vety good game, creating some good chances with his flicks and runs around the box.
Rooney - Still very out of form, getting better though, good touch to lay it on for Nani there in the box.

    God I'm bored.:P

Was that really needed or are you just feeling particularly bitter today?

Personally, I think when he was on loan to us he was a very good player. Then as soon as he had his nice Premier League contract, he sits back and rakes in the cash. He's been quite poor I feel.

We'll never know. Maybe if your players weren't so brainless in their decision making as to giveaway the penalty in the first place, and actually time their tackles correctly, we would know.

    But we won't.

What do people think of Gabbidon?
I think he's solid, like a new signing if he stays fit, along with Dyer

    Fantastic goal.

However, even had Nani missed, Im sure the ref would have given a penalty and sent someone off. Probably Gabidon.

Poor West Ham have been robbed by some terrible what-if refereeing today.

Referances please . . . Of Course bearing in mind that 99% of the likes of Drogba or Gerrards frees/penos won are done without any contact at all . . OMG ! !

    Happy now?
