photos of the canadian rockies seem to be in vogue.

The Rockies run through the East of BC and West of AB. The range of mountains that run along the West coast of BC, pictured by myself and sprinkles are called the Coast Mountains.

Anyway, another fairly difficult lake to get to, Upper Pierce lake. It requires around a vertical mile of elevation gain to get to it.

I got my first dSLR yesterday, a Canon 500d. Very happy with it so far (apart from the plastic-ey build quality).

i've been playing around with texture, layers, curves and gradients as well as my diana mini and some macarons today! i'm not sure if the bokeh is a bit overdone, i kind of enjoy a little dramatic sparkle, but i'm not sure how you boardsies will feel about it :D

Sunset off Rapa Nui (aka Easter Island). No post processing was done to this one to enhance anything. i thought it was good enough straight off the camera. Looks way better on black.

Another picture from Kilkenny. Also the first time I tried the Bulmers Berry - which has been my drink of choice since then, NomNomNom. Also really impressed with the depth of field of the 50mm lens on the Praktica - so lovely. Really really happy with how the shots came out, the lovely redness in them (only a tad of PP in LR). Go on, have yourself a drink now!
