I had never tried to take photos for a job before. Even if it's unpaid.
I needed to take photos of 3 people who where complete strangers to me for use in 3 separate pamphlets. Something else I had never really tried before.

    These are my favorite 2:

    @ TCO,

I really, really like this photo! But (to me) it looks too grey/flat and if you boosted the contrast it would make it 'pop' and it would look even better! :)

3 high pass layers, 2 unsharp mask ...bumped contrast, clarity, sharpness ... trust me I tried ... :P [though i went with very light layers each time, trying something diff, usually do one, bump them to the the max/by eye] Might give it another go. it was VERY flat to begin with, cheers, appreciated.

I have started to notice that my photography work has been improving lately and it provides me with so much more pleasure now then it did before. One of the reasons is this little beauty: the Praktica MTL3. This wee thing has been around for as long as I can remember, my dad bought it just after he married my mam and the first ever picture of me was taken on this. I used it in college for my art classes but never paid attention - which I thoroughly regret now. When I moved over to Ireland, my dad gave it to me, as he had fully embraced digital at that point. It gave me the opportunity to go back to "basics" - including developing a print from scratch with thanks to Sinead, who sneaked me into the DCC darkroom and the result is depicted here too. I sticky-tacked the print next to the headrest of my bed, it mightn't be the sharpest not most creative image, but it gave me a new found breeze of inspiration and a desire to produce better quality. SO here's to happy photography days and my beloved father's praktica, my new bestest camera friend!
