Probabily not as it has a DSL modem.

You need a router with NO modem it. Often Dabs, Argos call them Cable Routers, or DSL/Cable routers. They are just ethernet Routers. A 5th "WAN" ethernet port instead of phone line goes to the ethernet port on the Modem.

    [EDIT]
Googled it. This is NOT what you want. It's for phone line broadband only.

    Specifications

ADSL2+ modem; single-band 2.4GHz wireless; 802.11b/g/draft-n; 4 x 10/100Mb/s ethernet ports; WEP, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK encryption; MAC address authentication; 3 external antennae; Windows Protected Setup (WPS); SPI Firewall, VPN support, Dynamic DNS (DDNS) support; Protocol Port-based QoS; 197x139x34mm

    yes
    DEVICE INTERFACES
    + 4 10/100 LAN ports
    + 1 10/100 WAN port
    + IEEE 802.11 b/g/n WLAN
    + USB 2.0
From the specifications. Important bit in bold.

Connect it via one of the non WAN (ordinary) ethernet ports to your PC/Laptop to configure it. No Software is required. just go the setup page.

Make WAN port DHCP and automatic everything...

Setup WiFi with big long random WPA key you wrote down.

ABSOLUTELY write down new random password 8 character (upper, lower and numbers) for Admin of Dlink and put it on bottom of box with CD pen. Never leave with default password for Admin Web page as Malicious Web sites then can log in and set a fake DNS for man in middle attacks that work even on HTTPS pages!
Connect the WAN port to Thomson Modem via ethernet cable, never USB.

Turn off Thomson Modem, count ten, turn it on and the Modem will give the Public IP to the Router instead of your PC.

Never use names, misspelled words txt speak or numbers instead of leterrs in dictionary words. Always use really gibberish like Kjt6Bm23 for passwords. A WiFi Gibberish password needs to be about 20 characters. Only use WPA, never WEP. AES (or WPA2) is preferred to TKIP
