Hi, I've a question about Grants.

Basically I'll be 20 when doing a masters and wondering if I can apply for the grant. I wouldnt have qualified for the grant for my undergrad as my parents income wouldnt have been low enough. However, for my masters I will be living independently for the first time and wont be receiving financial support from my parents. I also dont have a job, so therefore will I be able to receive some financial assistance to help with my masters and how do I go about this?

    any advice appreciated!

    thanks! :)

You can't apply as an independent mature student because you have to be 23 or over - you can probably apply and have your parents income assessed

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Go to www.studentfinance.ie and get the form in ASAP - the deadline of August 31st has already passed but some county councils will still accept them
