Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is the N3 up to Navan a safe road to cycle on and is the surface good? Trying to plan a long cycle for weekend and was thinking of heading from baldoyle to navan up the N3 then over to slane and N2 back

Quieter now than it was, most traffic is using the M3 now. But there is a road that goes out through the back of blanchardstown, to Ratoath, there is a lot less traffic on that road. Navan to Slane road is dangerous but again there lots of back road options.

    hi,

the n3 is fine to cycle on, but you'll have to stay on the main section of road as just inside the yellow broken lines it's pretty rough.

N3 is very quiet now indeed.
Navan to slane road is fine -now that the new section has opened - only about 1km to keep an eye out on. N2 is fine too.

    enjoy

N2 is the same as N3, hard shoulder in bits, it can be busy enough, would you not go a more scenic quieter route?
