    Folks,
    Some advice ??
Am looking at getting a replacement gun case. Can anyone tell us whats the seial number of the Peli case that holds two long guns assembled[IE shotguns or scoped rifles on the flat rather than side by side??Or is the SXS model any better /safer?Also is it worth the extra hassle of the length,as it isnt a problem to break down the guns, well, maybe the rifle, but it is an AR style gun so it is just a two pin removal exercise.
Belive STORM is made here in Ireland?? Do they make a dual case, and are they just as good or value for money??
    Opinions,advice,bickering all welcome...:)

For two scoped rifles you're probably looking at the 1750 Grizzly.

SXS and Storm are about equally good; I've seen all three used and there's not much between them apart from weight (SXS is lightest, Peli heaviest) and latch design (Peli's is simplest, but SXS and Storm have fans as well).

Storm are made in Dun Laoghaire, and they can laser-cut the foam for you onsite; you just walk in, put down the kit on the foam, they scan it and then cut the foam perfectly. And they're happy to do that for any case you have, so at some point, I'm wandering in there with my Peli to get hard-cell foam cut for it (the soft-cell stuff works, but I'd really prefer hard-cell stuff).

Just beware, the 1750 isn't particularly easy to get in and out of most car boots. The 1720 is handy enough, but the 1750 is too long for pretty much any saloon I've ever tried to get it in or out of.

I take it the 1750 and 1720 are the case measurements in mm as well as their production numbers?

I don't know TBH, though the Peli website has external and internal dimensions on it.

Don't think there's any relation between case size and case model number Grizzly.
    Model|Exterior Measurements|Interior Measurements
    1720 Long Case |44.37" x 16.00" x 6.12" (112.7 x 40.6 x 15.5 cm)|42.00" x 13.50" x 5.25" (106.6 x 34.3 x 13.3 cm)
    1730 Transport Case|37.50" x 27.13" x 14.37" (95.2 x 68.9 x 36.5 cm)|34.00" x 24.00" x 12.50" (86.3 x 60.9 x 31.7 cm)
    1740 Long Case|44.16" x 16.09" x 14.00" (112.1 x 40.9 x 35.5 cm)|40.98" x 12.92" x 12.13" (104 x 32.8 x 30.8 cm)
    1750 Long Case|53.00" x 16.00" x 6.12" (134.6 x 40.6 x 15.5 cm)|50.50" x 13.50" x 5.25" (128.2 x 34.3 x 13.3 cm)
    1770 Long Case|57.42" x 18.48" x 11.23" (145.8 x 46.9 x 28.5 cm)|54.58" x 15.58" x 8.63" (138.6 x 39.6 x 21.9 cm)

Looked at getting foam cut for my Storm 3200 in Blackrock--over €300 for one off job, more than the case cost.

If you can do the job, do it. If you can't do the job, just teach it. If you really suck at it, just become a union executive or politician.

Yeah, but that's still over €200 less than this cost:
