Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Podge Amond left for Pacos de Ferreira early this morning to sign his contract.
    Best of luck to him.

Gylfi Sigurdsson has gone to Hoffeinheim from Reading for £6 million. He has serious potential.

A key part of my Reading side that won back to back premier league titles in FM. Very surprised they let him go tbh

10.55am Our very own Tony O'Donoghue has confirmed that all members of the Republic of Ireland squad have reported for morning training, which appears to pour cold water on many of the rumours linking squad members with transfers.

Brum potentially getting Hleb and Beausejour would be unreal business. Hleb we know about, but Beausejour is a bit of a wild card. Never seen him play any club football, but was hugely impressed by him for Chile.

BTW... what's with Milan? Are they broke?

Milan have sold Huntelaar, but brought in Boateng, Ibrahimivich and Robinho on loan.

What i love is that there's always an issue with some clubs "fax machine", when they're trying to buy a player at the last minute.

Surely there's a better way to do it than over a fax! :)

Camoranesi from Juve to Stuttgart for 2 mil. Euro.

That Boateng one is a bit mad considering Genoa bought him less than two weeks ago and he's already gone to AC through co-ownership.

it's not mad for italy really. Milan 'couldnt afford him' so genoa did them a favour and bought him and loaned him to them until they can pay for him. also this is a way to get around the max foreign signings rule. no doubt we'll see genoa picking up a couple of draws against milan this season...

But it only takes 30-40 mins by plane......

TBH I dont know why Given is going to stay at City?

The big thing in Italy is year long loans and then buy them at the end of it. So I reckon it could be partially that.

stoke have signed Eidur Gudjohnsen on loan.

Martin Jiranek at Birmingham for medical and to complete permanent move. Hleb and Beausejour on the way, both need work permits before they can officially join. Hleb will join on loan for the season, unsure of Beausejour deal possibly loan deal as well. Traore looks certain to join Juve so I think Brum's interest in him has ended.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,273 ✭✭✭racso1975

Work permits, work permits, work permits... Birmingham have been given them for Hleb and Beausejour and there should be nothing to block their moves now.
Real Madrid are keen to offload Royston Drenthe (Liverpool anyone?) and Mamadou Diarra but the two English clubs bidding for them - thought to be Fulham and Stoke - haven't offered enough cash as yet, claim AS

Would love to see him at stoke

All the talk is about Arsenal signing a keeper but it is Spurs who have now confirmed a deal for Croatian stopper Stipe Pletikosa. He's joined from Spartak Moscow on a season-long loan.

According to Bayern's sporting director he isn't going anywhere, and is today training with the German Team in preperation for their European qualifier game at the weekend.

Love that. All the ****e going around on these small time websites, and good old RTE inadvertently make a mockery of the lot with a simple, reliable piece of information. :)

It's a legal thing as far as I'm aware. A copy of a signed document sent by fax can be considered a short term fix until the official paperwork is lodged.

No idea either. They've enough strikers, haven't they?

Maybe Mick seen into the future and 3 of his strikers are going to break their legs.

    I wouldn't.

Certainly a great keeper in his day, but after that accident I can see him being very susceptible to picking up injuries if played as first choice.

Tis odd Andy Keogh went on loan but with Doyle, Fletcher, Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, plus forward minded players like Hunt, Jarvis, Jones and Kightly Bent (the wrong one) seems a bit pointless.

According to todays star we got €50,000 for Amond, we keep 95% and Shams get 5% for development stuff.

    He'll be earning €2.5k p/w.

Looking forward to Pacos playing one of the ''big'' teams so they'll be on TV.

Not so much a transfer but it'd be a good choice as manager imo.

It'll be €14m which equates to about £11m.

    Or

It'll be £11m with about £8m paid upfront with add-ons making up the extra £3m.

Don't believe anyone apart from Sunderland with regards to our transfer fees, they had Turner as costing £12m when he actually cost £4m, Cattermole as costing £8m when he actually cost £6m and Campbell costing £8m, when he actually cost £5m.

Clearly he's woeful if he only costs that much.

Just like Joe Hart was when he signed for City for around that price.... Oh wait.
